SUMMARY:La Marshalate Game Day
DESCRIPTION:BGB members are invited to join the monthly Le Marshalate game day. \nThe Le Marshalate game club has been meeting for decades. Most current gaming is strategy (Euro) games\, rail games\, and war games. Regular meetings are on the third Saturday of each month in a rented room at the American Legion hall in Salem\, New Hampshire. It is a good space with room for a two dozen people. (Many attendees do not RSVP here\, so there may be more people than you see in Meetup’s RSVP count. I edit my guest count to estimate attendance\, but it varies.) \nPlease join us for an enjoyable day of board gaming. The event is currently sponsored by members\, and guests are welcome. The doors open sometime between 12:00 and 1:00\, and filler games may be played before the main events. At 1:00\, all games should stop so that people arriving by 1:00 have an opportunity to get into a game. \nThe hall is a 30-minute drive from Nashua. A GPS will take you along Route 111\, but\, if you would like a slightly more scenic/fun drive\, head for Sherburne Road in Pelham first\, and then let the GPS plot the rest of the route. It should take you along 38 to the back of the Mall at Rockingham Park. \nThe venue is carry in\, carry out—please take your trash with you. You should be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to meeting. Please do not attend when you are sick. \nLe Marshalate has a mailing list. \n(Sometimes there have been fifth-Saturday events\, for which $5 is charged to cover room rental. These are not currently planned.)

DESCRIPTION:Havoc! is the premier miniatures gaming convention of the Northeast and has run continuously for 39 years\, well…except for the two Covid-19 years. We will hold Havoc XL (2026) at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel\, Marlborough\, MA. Hours and sessions will be: \n\nFri.\, Mar. 27 2026\, 6:00pm – 11:30pm\, 1 session\nSat.\, Mar. 28 2026\, 8:00am – 11:30pm\, 3 sessions\nSun.\, Mar. 29 2026\, 9:00am – 4:00pm\, 1 session\n\nHavoc has a long tradition of being the best miniatures convention in the Northeast with high quality games\, displays and tournaments. Every year we present two awards at Havoc!: \n\nThe Dave Award\, in honor of Dave Donovan\, friend and mentor to us all. It is BGB’s recognition of excellence and is given to the best of show event at each Havoc! Check out the past winners;\nThe Al Award\, in memory of Al Garnache. This award is given to the game master that puts on the event with the most visual appeal. You can see the past winners.\n\nThe cost for the weekend is: \n\n\n$50 for a player over 12;\n\n\n\n$25 for any players 12 and under;\n\n\n\n$20 for game masters;\n\n\n\n$2 for non-playing game masters;\n\n\n\nFree for people viewing the games or visiting the dealers.\n\n\nDo you need a roommate? Post a request on the Havoc Facebook page to find someone to room with. Badges are not required to submit events;\nFeb. 2\, Event sign up opens;\nFeb. 24\, Last day to sign up for a hotel room in the Havoc! block;\nFeb. 28\, Event submissions ends;\nMar. 20\, Player pre registration ends.
