SUMMARY:La Marshalate Game Day
DESCRIPTION:BGB members are invited to join the monthly Le Marshalate game day. \nThe Le Marshalate game club has been meeting for decades. Most current gaming is strategy (Euro) games\, rail games\, and war games. Regular meetings are on the third Saturday of each month in a rented room at the American Legion hall in Salem\, New Hampshire. It is a good space with room for a two dozen people. (Many attendees do not RSVP here\, so there may be more people than you see in Meetup’s RSVP count. I edit my guest count to estimate attendance\, but it varies.) \nPlease join us for an enjoyable day of board gaming. The event is currently sponsored by members\, and guests are welcome. The doors open sometime between 12:00 and 1:00\, and filler games may be played before the main events. At 1:00\, all games should stop so that people arriving by 1:00 have an opportunity to get into a game. \nThe hall is a 30-minute drive from Nashua. A GPS will take you along Route 111\, but\, if you would like a slightly more scenic/fun drive\, head for Sherburne Road in Pelham first\, and then let the GPS plot the rest of the route. It should take you along 38 to the back of the Mall at Rockingham Park. \nThe venue is carry in\, carry out—please take your trash with you. You should be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to meeting. Please do not attend when you are sick. \nLe Marshalate has a mailing list. \n(Sometimes there have been fifth-Saturday events\, for which $5 is charged to cover room rental. These are not currently planned.)

SUMMARY:2026 BGB Annual Meeting (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:The BGB Annual Meeting will be Saturday\, October 10th\, at 1pm on Zoom. The business meeting should be fairly quick\, with the rest of the time devoted to next year’s Havoc. \nAgenda:\n\n\nElections for officer positions. If everyone is not aware\, Gordon stepped down as president due to other commitments (and he’s been doing it for many years). So vice-president has taken over as president (that’s Steven) and officer at large has taken over as vice-president (that’s Mark).\nThe hotel contract has been signed for next year (April 2-4) at the Marlborough Best Western again. Tim has already made the down payment for that.\nAny other club business\n\n\nMembers who wish to attend should contact Steven Parenteau via the mailing list and he can send you the link for it. \n\nYou can become a member by paying our yearly dues of $20.00. Members run Havoc! and organize games. \n\n\n\n[wp_paypal button=”buynow” button_text=”Join BGB!” amount=”20.00″ name=”BGB Dues” description=”BGB Dues”] \n\n\n

SUMMARY:The Evacuation of Beta Durani
DESCRIPTION:The Minbari advance on Earth\, clearing any sign of Earth’s colonies along the way. Earth forces must hold off the Minbari attack long enough for civilians to escape while destroying as many Minbari ships as they can. It is a fool’s errand\, but needs must. \nRules will be Mongoose’s A Call to Arms – Babylon 5. Miniatures will be a mix of Mongoose and Agents of Gaming figures. Players will choose between the genocidal Minbari intent on the annihilation of all Earth Forces they encounter or the plucky Earth Forces doomed to destruction. This game is not a fair fight for Earth\, but saving the most civilians is the only objective. \nThis game is on Sunday\, so all street parking is free in Somerville. The Purple House is a 10 minute walk from the Davis Square Red Line MBTA station and a short walk from the 87 Bus stop.
